Our doula staff consists of women who joined the program because of their mothering skills and commitment to our organizational concept. They receive training from recognized professionals in the field on practice standards recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists related to labor support, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding.

All Staff:

• Are CPR Certified and first aid trained
• Receive annual TB testing
• Are bonded and insured and undergo extensive background checks and screening
• Provide I-9 documentation to prove eligibility to work in the USA
• Speak fluent English

All Doula Staff:

• Are experienced in newborn care and have mothering skills. Most are mothers themselves
• Enter a "Professional Development Ladder", leading to certification
• Are required to take continuing education in perinatal care which is provided by our company at monthly staff meetings and seminars
